Frequently Asked Questions
Virtual Estimating System:
Our Virtual Estimating System at Royall Painting is designed to make the process of getting an estimate for your project as convenient and accurate as possible. Here’s how it works:
- Information Gathering: To get started, we collect essential information from you, such as your name, address, phone number, and other pertinent details.
- Project Details: We’ll ask you for comprehensive information about your project. Feel free to provide as much detail as possible, including any photos you might have. This helps us better understand your needs.
- Technology-Driven Research: We leverage the latest technology to gather additional information about your property. This includes using online resources like Zillow and Redfin to determine square footage, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the year your home was built. We also utilize Google Earth’s street view and satellite imagery to gain insight into your property’s layout and surroundings.
- Estimate Generation: Once we’ve collected all the necessary data, we use it to generate an estimate for your project. This typically takes around 72 hours.
- Proposal Email: We will send you the estimate in the form of a detailed proposal via email. You’ll have a chance to review it alongside other estimates you might have obtained.
After Hiring Royall Painting:
When you decide to hire Royall Painting as your contractor, here’s what you can expect:
- Initial Meeting: We’ll schedule an in-person meeting at your property to discuss specifics such as colors, project details, and scheduling.
- Contract Signing: Once everything is finalized, we’ll sign a contract to commence the project.
- On-Site Management: Throughout the project, a dedicated job site manager will be present on your property. They are responsible for overseeing all employees, conducting daily check-ins, and providing progress reports directly to you. You’ll always be informed and “in the loop.”
- Completion Inspection: After the project is complete, you and the job site manager will conduct a thorough inspection of your property to ensure that everything meets your satisfaction.
- During Interior/Exterior Painting:
While your interior or exterior painting project is in progress, here’s what you can expect:
Minimal Disruption: We always aim to minimize the impact on your daily life. For exterior projects, you may have masking plastic on windows and drop cloths for approximately a week. We ensure that all ladders and small tools are removed and the site is cleaned at the end of each day. For interiors, we take great care to protect your floors and furniture. We typically complete a room on the same day we start, but some rooms may be “unusable” for a day or more. Our goal is always to leave your home cleaner than when we started.
Paint Selection:
We exclusively use Sherwin Williams paints for our projects, except when matching existing paint is necessary. Sherwin Williams offers an extensive and high-quality range of paints. Additionally, we prioritize environmentally friendly options, such as low or zero VOC paints, to ensure the health and safety of your home.
